Damian’s Coaches

Canadian Damian Warner burst onto the international scene at the 2012 Olympics. The 23 year old decathlete from London, Ontario soared to a 5th place finish, in only his 10th competition ever. Less than a year later, Damian was poised to become one of the greatest track and field stars in Canadian history.

What makes Damian’s story so amazing is that he has reached such a high level without ever leaving home. Damian attended school in London, Ontario, Canada, graduating  from  Sir John A. MacDonald Public School and  Montcalm Secondary School. He also studied business at Fanshawe College. Damian is very loyal to his community and family, and he continued to train with his original high school coaches, along with high performance experts from the University of Western Ontario and the London Western Track Club, and now the Olympic Team.

In the past few years, Damian has competed across Canada and the United States, as well as in Korea, Austria, Jamaica, and at the London Olympics. Damian competed at the World Championships in Moscow and in Talence, France in (September 2013). Damian is now a full time athlete. He won the gold metal at the Commonwealth Games 2014.

MCSPhotography made a commitment to support Damian Warner and his aspirations to go to the 2016 Rio Olympics, and donated a minimum of 10% of all profits directly to Damian’s Olympic training efforts.  Damian completed in the 2016 Olympic Decathlon and won a silver metal! We are pleased to say that we have been able to fulfill (and exceed) our commitment to him.

We wish Damian all the best, and we are so proud of him!
